Taking a rounded approach to sport
Have you ever wondered what is involved in rowing across the Atlantic? It is a huge logistical nightmare which doesn’t leave time for much else to think about. Since it is such hard work, it would be nice if there were some other benefits for those long days at the oars.
That’s where Sportscounsel came in. We recognised the commercial value of what they were doing and set about marketing the Team’s efforts in all media both prior to and during the event. Why? Simply to raise their profile amongst the New Zealand public. This was essential to ensure the sponsors saw the benefit for their investment but also so the rowers could see some value when they got back. By raising their profile we hope to facilitate more speaking engagements for the boys on their return and extend their shelf life beyond the duration of the event itself.
